A collapsible fly rod tube built for anglers with a passion for exploration and adventure.

Designed, engineered, and built in Canada from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, the Pack Rat collapses to just 24.5”, extends to 34.5”, and protects 4-piece fly rods up to 10’ (6WT).

At just 434 g (15.3 oz), it’s actually lighter than an empty 26 oz stainless steel water bottle (600 g), so you’ll barely notice it’s in your pack.

The Original Pack Rat is our inaugural production run and is limited to 100 individually numbered tubes. By placing a preorder, you’re reserving one of the very first Pack Rat tubes ever produced and supporting a Canadian-designed product built for anglers who venture beyond the road.

How the Preorder Works

• Step 1: Reserve your Original Pack Rat today with a $50 CAD deposit. Your deposit secures one tube from the first production run and is applied toward the total purchase price.
• Step 2: Your Pack Rat will be built as part of the inaugural production run. Once your tube has been completed and is ready to ship, you’ll receive an email with instructions to complete your purchase. (Remaining balance: $170 CAD)
• Step 3: Once your final payment has been received, your Pack Rat will be carefully packaged and shipped to your door. Shipping is included anywhere Worldwide at no additional cost.

Limited Production

Only 100 Original Pack Rat tubes will be produced during this inaugural release. Each tube will be individually numbered, making this first production run a unique part of River Rat Fly Co.’s story. Once all 100 preorder spots have been claimed, preorders will close until the next production run.
