Course Goal
Introduce beginners to the fundamentals of fly fishing. Students leave understanding gear, casting basics, water reading, and simple rigging.

- Discuss river safety: slippery rocks and current awareness.

- Attach the leader to the fly line
- Tie an Improved Clinch Knot
- Discuss the proper leader length
- Explain why knots should be wetted before tightening
